Collection and Use of Personal Information
This site collects personally identifiable information submitted by its users. California defines “personal information” as any data that may be used to identify a person, such as:

Personal Information is only collected from users who voluntarily submit such information to fulfill a specific request, such as to donate or to sign up for our email list. Use of this information will be limited to the internal purposes of the organization and only to further its program activities and purposes. Whether you donate online or offline, your donor information is never sold or shared.

No Personal Information collected by the site will be sold or shared except under the following limited circumstances: YDI4M may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting the Corporation in fraud prevention or investigation. We may do so when: (1) permitted or required by law or law enforcement; or, (2) we are trying to protect the Corporation and/or its users against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) we are  investigating fraud which has already taken place. The information is not provided to third parties for marketing purposes.

Do Not Track (DNT)
DNT is a concept that has been promoted by U.S. regulatory authorities, in particular the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), for the internet industry to develop and implement a mechanism for allowing internet users to control the tracking of their online activities across websites. 

YDI4M does not respond to DNT requests.

Third-Party Payment Service
The website provides functionality allowing you to make payments and donations to YDI4M using a third-party payment service with which you have created your own account. When you use such a service to make a payment or donation to us, your Personal Information will be collected by such third party and not by YDI4M and will be subject to the third party’s Privacy Policy, rather than this Privacy Policy. This Corporation has no control over, and is not responsible for, any third party’s collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information.

The Corporation is committed to the safety and protection of its online users and their Personal Information. The Corporation uses reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect Personal Information to the best of its ability. These measures include procedures that limit access to users’ Personal Information only to employees and volunteers of the Corporation who need to know such information to fulfill the Corporation’s mission and purpose, as well as education programs for our employees and volunteers about the importance of protecting the privacy and security of confidential personal and organizational information. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please immediately notify us in accordance with the “Privacy Contact Information” section below. Be advised that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we always strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. 

Opt-Out or Change Your Contact Information to Data Security
Users may opt out of receiving communications from us at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of the YDI4M emails. After clicking "Unsubscribe" you will be redirected to a webpage where you will verify your email address and click "unsubscribe." Please note that if you opt out of receiving promotional or fundraising emails from us, we may still send you transactional messages or other important messages (such as receipts for donations).  

Users may update their profile by clicking "Update Profile" at the bottom of the YDI4M emails. After clicking "Update Profile" you will be redirected to a webpage where you will then hit "Submit" to confirm your email address. Instructions to update your profile will then be emailed to you.  

Children's Privacy
Users YDI4M does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18 without verification of parental consent, we will take prompt steps to remove that information from our servers. 

Anti-Discrimination Policy
Users have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of their consumer rights under California law, including discrimination by:

  • Denial of goods or services to the user;
  • Charging different prices or rates for goods or services, including the use of discounts or other benefits or imposing penalties;
