Sept. 24, 2024 -- As I reflect on the words ... "fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for those who cultivate peace," from James 3:16-4:3, I am reminded there is no peace in this world apart from the Lord and His ways. Jealousy, selfish ambition, disordered behavior or passions, wars, envy, killing, fighting are antithetical to peace. Even at the point of persecution and being killed Jesus was peace. Oh, that I might live in and share this peace, Lord, in the face of human trials. Lord, as the Psalm says, "The Lord upholds my life."
